Let’s first schedule a brief consultation to discuss your interest in therapy and ask me any questions about my approach or therapeutic style. Please complete the contact form, email me or call me to schedule. We can see how it feels to talk to one another and if I can be of support to you with the changes you’re wanting to make. If we decide to move forward, we’ll schedule our first session and I’ll send you some initial paperwork to complete.

Online therapy, or teletherapy, works just the same as in-person therapy. We can discuss whether you would prefer to meet over video or phone. Some people find they talk more freely and feel more connected to their feelings, physical sensations, and body when using the phone. We can explore these options as we go along. I am licensed in Wisconsin, Kentucky, and Oregon and can provide therapy for anyone residing in those states.

It can be helpful to start out meeting weekly. This allows us to develop a connection and gain some momentum in the work. Ideally, sessions would take place on the same day and time that we agree upon in advance. Some people find greater benefit when meeting multiple times per week. For treatment to be effective, consistency is essential.

I’m an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill through insurance. If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a statement suitable for submission to insurance companies for reimbursement (a “superbill”). Some insurance plans offer reimbursement for services with an out-of-network provider. Here is a list of questions to ask your insurance company about getting reimbursed for services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate when opting not to use your insurance.

My session fee is $180. My fee has been set to reflect the costs of my graduate and post-graduate training, lived experience, state licensing board fees, trainings, and continuing education. I encourage you to think about therapy in the same way you would a life-changing medical procedure or going back to school to pursue that career you’ve always dreamt about. Therapy is an investment with the potential to profoundly transform your life in ways you could only imagine. What is your healing and liberation worth?
At our initial consultation, we’ll have the (often difficult and awkward) conversation about money. It will be a practice in what makes the therapy process so rich, meaningful, and transformational— talking about all the things we weren’t allowed to talk about in our family of origin, having difficult conversations loaded with feelings and core beliefs, and getting to the heart of how you value yourself and well-being.
